Zinger Functional:
Launch Plan & Market Analysis

Where the range stands, what the market is telling us, and how the launch is built around it.

PROSPERA  ×  JAMES WHITE

What we've built, and why

The full paid-search structure for the Zinger Functional range is built and ready, paused pending stock going live, images uploading, and retail price confirming at £24. Thirteen campaigns, structured around a single principle: put weight behind the demand that exists, and avoid spending against ourselves.

Turmeric Revive · lead SKU

Four campaigns, the most budget and structure

This is where demand, price and product align, so it carries the most weight. We've split the campaigns by the type of search a shopper is making, from someone typing "turmeric shots" to someone looking for a stronger or more specific option, because those searches cost very different amounts to compete on. Keeping them separate means the cheaper searches don't quietly eat the budget before the ones most likely to sell get their chance. One of the four is set up purely to discover new searches we haven't anticipated, so we can feed the ones that work back in.

Ginger Guard · a deliberate concession

Two campaigns, built to protect what already works

Your existing Zinger ginger listing already ranks strongly and sells efficiently on the main ginger searches. Rather than let the new product bid against your own best performer and push its costs up, Ginger Guard steps back from those core searches and focuses on more specific ones, like immunity, where it can bring in extra sales instead of taking them from a listing you already own. This is the most important decision in the build: the new range should not come at the expense of what already works.

Green Uplift · run lean

Four campaigns, built to test cheaply

Our market analysis (section 02) showed little direct search demand for a "green" shot. Rather than overspend chasing terms that don't convert, we've built Green Uplift to discover and test at low cost: a low-bid campaign to find any genuine demand, a small test on its B12 vitamin claim, and a light presence on the few relevant green terms. It earns most of its sales as part of the range rather than as a standalone line.

Range-level · combined intent

Capturing searches no single product answers

A meaningful share of shoppers search for "ginger and turmeric shots" together. No single product answers that, so we run those terms across the range, letting shoppers land on a page that shows the full line-up. We've also grouped the generic wellness terms at range level rather than duplicating them across every product, which stops the four lines bidding against each other on the same searches.

Approach · tight where we know, open where we're learning

Discipline on the majority, room to discover

Where we already know the search worth winning, campaigns are set up to target it precisely and keep spend deliberate. A small number are set up more openly, to discover what converts. Most of the budget stays disciplined while we still leave room to find opportunities we haven't predicted. Every campaign also launched with protection built in from the outset, to keep the new range from appearing against your existing Zinger and Beet It listings and to keep spend off irrelevant searches from day one.

Two lines that aren't live yet

Beetroot Focus

Not yet live, as the listing isn't ready. When it is, there's a point to resolve before we advertise it: at £24 it would sit below the market price for beetroot shots and could draw demand away from Beet It Sport, your highest-value listing. We'll set it up to protect that position rather than compete with it.

Brand Defence

Not built yet. There's little branded search for a range that isn't live, so we'll add it once awareness builds, on evidence rather than pre-emptively.

What we've learned

On our last call we discussed the rationale behind the four new lines. We've now analysed the market to answer that properly, and to establish where each product sits against how the category actually behaves on Amazon.

The functional shot category is genuinely healthy: a £100m+ UK market growing double digits, so the decision to be in it is sound. But the category is shopped by function and hero ingredient (ginger, turmeric, immunity, energy) rather than by colour or flavour identity. That distinction is where the four products separate.

Product Price vs market How the market searches Read
Turmeric Revive £24, at market median (£24) "turmeric shots", real and ownable demand Strong. Product, price and demand align. Our lead line.
Ginger Guard £24 vs £10–13 market High demand, but shoppers buy at £10–13 Priced above the market. Core searches unwinnable at £24, so it runs on more specific ones only.
Green Uplift £24, at market "green shots" returns shot glasses and liqueur; "green juice" returns powders No search term of its own. Sells only as part of the wider range.
Beetroot Focus £24 vs £29 market Strong demand, though it is Beet It Sport's demand Competes with your own best asset. Held back to protect it.

The market confirms the pattern inside our competitors' own listings. UNROOTED, the best-known greens shot on Amazon, sells as a five-flavour range in which ginger and turmeric carry the listing while the greens variant trails on both reviews and volume. Even the category leader's greens shot is a slow seller. This is not a discoverability gap we can out-advertise. It reflects how the category buys.

Turmeric is the clear priority. It is the one product where what James White has made, the price Amazon will sell it at, and what shoppers actually search all line up. Our budget and effort are weighted there accordingly.

What we've done about it

The strategy is built around this reality rather than against it.

Back the winner

Turmeric Revive leads on budget and campaign depth.

Contain the risk

Ginger Guard steps back from the core searches it can't win on price and focuses where it can add incremental sales. Beetroot Focus stays out of the searches that would draw demand from Beet It Sport, because protecting your highest-value listing takes priority over launching a fourth line quickly.

Let the market decide Green

Rather than overspend chasing a term that doesn't exist, Green Uplift runs lean, with a low-bid discovery campaign plus a small B12 test, and earns its sales as part of the range.

A launch built to protect what already works, and to put weight behind the one new line the market is genuinely asking for.
